Removal Procedure
  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the liftgate door sill plate. Refer to Liftgate Sill Trim Plate Replacement.
  3. Mark the location of the striker with a grease pencil.

    4. Object Number: 870174 Size: SH
  4. Remove fasteners from the striker (1).

    5. Note: Using a grease pencil, mark the strikers location prior to removal.

  5. Remove the striker and shims, if equipped, from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 870174 Size: SH
  1. Position the striker, to the location marks.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the fasteners (1) to the striker.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten fasteners to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the liftgate door sill plate. Refer to Liftgate Sill Trim Plate Replacement.
