Rear Wheel Opening Flare Replacement SUT
Removal Procedure
- Remove the screws (1) from the wheelhouse opening flare (2).
- Remove the lower rocker panel retainers (3) securing the front lower edge of the rear flare to the body.
- Remove the wheelhouse flare (2) from the wheelhouse opening.
Installation Procedure
- Position the wheelhouse flare (7) to the wheelhouse opening (3).
- Loosely install the screws.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install and secure the lower front rocker panel retainers.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (26 lb in).
Rear Wheel Opening Flare Replacement WS2, BVX
Removal Procedure
- Remove the retaining screws from the wheel flare.
- Remove the push-pin retainer from the rocker protection molding.
- Remove the wheel flare from the vehicle.
- Use a alcohol pad in order to remove old adhesive tape residue from the fender flange.
- Wipe the area where the flare is to be installed with a clean dry towel prior to the wheel opening flare installation.
Installation Procedure
- Align the flare screw holes with the u-nuts on the fender flange.
- Start all of the screws by hand and finger tighten only, at this time.
- Release the adhesive tape backing from the wheel opening flare adhesive tape.
- Apply hand pressure to the wheel opening flare and wet-out the adhesive tape to the body.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Secure the retaining screws to the wheel opening flare.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in).
- Insert the push pin at the bottom side of the wheel opening flare in order to secure the wheel opening flare to the lower rocker molding.
- Check and ensure of the alignment of the wheel opening flare to the body at the rear.

Removal Procedure
- Remove the retaining screws from the wheel flare.
- Remove the push-pin retainer from the rocker protection molding.
- Remove the wheel flare from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the wheel flare to the vehicle.
- Install the push-pin retainer to the rocker protection molding.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the retaining screws to the wheel flare.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (26 lb in).
