Removal Procedure
  1. Fold the second row seats full forward.
  2. Lower the midgate window to the full open position.
  3. Remove the rear folding floor trim panels. Refer to Rear Folding Seat Back Cover Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1427695 Size: SH
  4. Remove the lower center garnish molding (4). Refer to Endgate Center Molding Replacement .
  5. Remove the midgate inner panel. Refer to Midgate Inner Panel Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 1412518 Size: SH
  6. Remove the midgate window. Refer to Midgate Window Replacement .

    7. Object Number: 1412517 Size: SH
  7. Remove the midgate window channels. Refer to Midgate Window Channel Replacement .
  8. Remove the midgate window regulator. Refer to Midgate Window Regulator Replacement .
  9. Remove the midgate latches. Refer to Midgate Latch Replacement .

    10. Object Number: 1412515 Size: SH
  10. Remove the midgate electrical harness. Refer to Folding Rear Panel Harness Replacement .

    11. Object Number: 1412514 Size: SH
  11. Remove the midgate hinges. Refer to Midgate Hinge Replacement .
  12. With the aid of an assistant, remove the midgate structure from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1243191 Size: SH
  1. With the aid of an assistant, position the midgate structure (3) to the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 1412514 Size: SH
  2. Install the midgate hinges. Refer to Midgate Hinge Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1412515 Size: SH
  3. Install the midgate electrical harness. Refer to Folding Rear Panel Harness Replacement .
  4. Install the midgate latches. Refer to Midgate Latch Replacement .
  5. Install the midgate window channels. Refer to Midgate Window Channel Replacement .
  6. Install the midgate window regulator. Refer to Midgate Window Regulator Replacement .

  7. Install the midgate window. Refer to Midgate Window Replacement .

    8. Object Number: 1412513 Size: SH
  8. Install the midgate inner panel. Refer to Midgate Inner Panel Replacement .

    9. Object Number: 1427695 Size: SH
  9. Install the lower center garnish molding (4). Refer to Endgate Center Molding Replacement .
  10. Install the rear folding floor trim panels. Refer to Rear Folding Seat Back Cover Replacement .
  11. Close the midgate.
  12. Close the midgate window.
  13. Adjust the midgate window, if needed. Refer to Midgate Window Adjustment .
  14. Reposition the second row seats.
