Makes 🢒 HUMMER 🢒 2009 🢒 H2 🢒 Body Repair 🢒 Bolted Exterior Body Panels and Closures 🢒 Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.

    2. Object Number: 833078 Size: SH
  2. Remove the cable end (1) from the latch.
  3. Release the retainer clips that retain the hood release cable to the cowl.
  4. Open the driver side door.
  5. Remove the driver side kick up panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side.

    6. Object Number: 833080 Size: SH
  6. Remove the fastener (1) retaining the hood release handle to the vehicle.

    7. Object Number: 833078 Size: SH
  7. From the driver side compartment area, pull the cable through the access hole in the cowl (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 833078 Size: SH
  1. From the driver side compartment area, route the cable through the access hole in the cowl (2).
  2. Attach the retainer clips that retain the hood release cable to the cowl.
  3. Connect the cable end (1) to the hood release latch.
  4. Set the hood release handle in place.

    5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Install the fastener retaining handle to the vehicle.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  6. Install the driver side kick up panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side.
