LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE

The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE indicator in the DIC when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects a low engine oil pressure (EOP).

CHANGE OIL

The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the CHANGE OIL indicator when the powertrain control module (PCM) determines that the engine oil should be changed. Once the oil is changed, perform the engine oil monitor reset procedure in order to clear the Change Engine Oil indicator. Refer to GM Oil Life System Resetting .

OIL

The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the OIL message in the driver information center (DIC) when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects a low oil pressure condition.

OIL LIFE

The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the OIL LIFE message when the powertrain control module (PCM) determines that the engine oil should be changed.

OVERSPEED

The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the OVERSPEED message when the IPC detects that the vehicle speed is more than 120 km/h (75 mph).
