The protective cover on the battery cable ends, where the cables connect to the battery is cracked where it is hinged. It is not necessary to replace the battery cables to get the protective covers for the battery cable ends. These protective covers are released for service.

Do Not replace the positive or negative battery cable(s) for this concern. Replace just the protective cover(s).

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
