Preliminary Procedures

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the transfer case shield. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement .
3. Remove the transmission crossmember. Refer to Transmission Support Crossmember Replacement .
