HVAC Module Assembly Replacement Left Hand Drive

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  3. Remove the evaporator tube from the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Evaporator Tube Replacement .
  4. Remove the heater inlet hose from the heater core. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement .
  5. Remove the heater outlet hose from the heater core. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement .
  6. Remove center console. Refer to Console Replacement .
  7. Remove center rear floor air duct. Refer to Rear Floor Air Outlet Replacement .
  8. Remove the instrument panel carrier. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement .
  9. Disconnect the HVAC module assembly electrical connectors.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tip
Tighten the nuts in sequence.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  3. Remove the evaporator tube from the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Evaporator Tube Replacement .
  4. Remove the heater inlet hose from the heater core. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement .
  5. Remove the heater outlet hose from the heater core. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement .
  6. Remove center console. Refer to Console Replacement .
  7. Remove center rear floor air duct. Refer to Rear Floor Air Outlet Replacement .
  8. Remove the instrument panel carrier. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement .
  9. Disconnect the HVAC module assembly electrical connectors.

Tip
Tighten the nuts in sequence.
