Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
2. Remove the oil pan skid plate. Refer to Oil Pan Skid Plate Replacement.
3. Drain the front drive axle. Refer to Front Axle Lubricant Replacement.
4. Remove the wheel drive shafts. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.

Crossmember to Front Drive Axle Mounting Bolt

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
100 N·m (74 lb ft)

Crossmember to Frame Mounting Bolt (Qty: 4)

Tighten
110 N·m (81 lb ft)

Mounting Bracket Bolt (Qty: 2)

Tip
Support the front drive axle with a transmission jack stand.

Tighten
110 N·m (81 lb ft)
