Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the front grille. Refer to Grille Replacement .
2. Remove the bolt securing the pencil brace bracket to the rear edge of the headlamp assembly.
3. Gently move the fender pencil brace away from the headlamp composite which is being serviced.

Headlamp Assembly Bolt (Qty: 3)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Support the headlamp assembly when removing the bolts.
2. Pull the lamp assembly slightly forward.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the forward lamp harness connector.
4. Disconnect the jumper harness connector from the fender flare turn signal lamp.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Headlamp Support Bracket Bolt

Procedure

1. Rotate the bracket upward to allow access to remove headlamp assembly.
2. Rotate the outer edge of the headlamp outward in order to remove the lamp assembly from the grille assembly support.

Tighten
5 N·m (44 lb in)

Headlamp Assembly

Procedure

1. Remove the bulbs from the headlamp assembly and transfer.
2. Pull the headlamp assembly forward to remove.
3. Aim the headlamp assembly after service. Refer to Headlamp Aiming .
