The electronic brake control module (EBCM) receives messages from other modules over serial data which are needed to perform antilock brake system (ABS), vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES), or traction control system (TCS) functions.
Ignition ON.
• | The transfer case selected range has been reported as invalid by the transfercase control module (TCCM). |
• | The rear differential status has been reported as locked by the TCCM when the vehicle speed is greater than 50 km/h (31 mph) for 10 seconds. |
• | The EBCM disables the TCS and Vehicle Stability Enhancement System (VSES) for the duration of the ignition cycle. |
• | A DIC message and/or a warning indicator may be displayed. |
• | The condition for the DTC is no longer present. |
• | The EBCM clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles. |
