The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Technicians may encounter difficulty installing the I/P Trim Panel Switch associated with the H3 Accessories Roof-Mounted Off-Road Lamps or Grille-Mounted Lamps due to a clearance issue associated with the vehicle's I/P Trim Panel Switch Retainer Tabs on 2008 model year vehicles built after the breakpoint called-out above. Installation of this switch may result in a bind condition when attempting to operate the switch. At this time, please refrain from installing these lamp packages on 2008 model year vehicles built after the breakpoint.

Platform Engineering is working with the supplier of the I/P Trim Plate to make the necessary changes to allow for the Lamp Package Switch to be installed without issue. Revised I/P Trim Plates will be available in the near future.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
