Important: For 2006-2007 (built before the VIN breakpoint) HUMMER H3s that may exhibit this condition, refer to bulletin 06-08-62-002.
Some customers may notice a bent license plate after driving the vehicle through a car wash. GM is trying to understand the frequency in which this condition may occur.
Engineering would like dealers to document the vehicles that come into the dealership with this condition. A form is included with this bulletin for use in documenting this information. Dealers may use their own discretion as to how frequently they fax this information to General Motors. All information should be faxed to the number on the form no later than May 22, 2008.
Important: Be sure to note on the form the number of bolts used to attach the license plate to the bracket.
