The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Some customers may notice that the engine lacks power when there is a brake input with the transfer case is in low range 4WD. Typically, this would occur while performing low speed off road maneuvers and they are on and off of the brakes frequently. No DTCs will set if they experience this concern. This may be a result of brake torque management mode due to brake and throttle inputs being received at the same time.
If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for this concern, reprogram the ECM with the latest TIS2web calibrations and re-evaluate the concern. The latest ECM calibrations are designed to address this concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
