Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1352026 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator and Outlet Duct Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge pipe (1) from the throttle control module (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

    3. Object Number: 1350717 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the throttle body electrical connector (2).

    4. Object Number: 742490 Size: SH
  4. Remove the throttle body bolts (1).
  5. Remove the throttle body (2) and the seal from the intake manifold.
  6. Clean the gasket surface.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 742490 Size: SH
  1. Insert a new seal into the intake manifold groove.
  2. Position the throttle body (2) to the intake manifold.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the throttle body bolts (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the throttle body electrical connector (2).

    5. Object Number: 1352026 Size: SH
  5. Connect the EVAP canister purge pipe (1) to the throttle control module (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
  6. Install the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator and Outlet Duct Replacement.
