Coolant Heater Cord Replacement With LLR

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery box. Refer to Battery Box Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 1313631  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the coolant heater cord (4) from the coolant heater (6).
  4. Cut the coolant heater cord ties (2, 5) from the following:
  5. • The battery cables conduit (3)
    • The engine wiring harness conduit (1)
  6. Remove the coolant heater cord (4) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the coolant heater cord (4) to the engine.
  2. Route the coolant heater cord (4) along the engine wiring harness conduit (1) and battery cables conduit (3).
  3. Connect the coolant heater cord (4) to the coolant heater (6).
  4. Secure the coolant heater cord ties (2, 5) to the following:
  5. • The battery cables conduit (3)
    • The engine wiring harness conduit (1)
  6. Install the battery box. Refer to Battery Box Replacement .
  7. Place the remaining coolant heater cord (4) between the following:
  8. • The battery box
    • The underhood fuse block

Coolant Heater Cord Replacement With LH8

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1699547  Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the oil pan skid plate. Refer to Oil Pan Skid Plate Replacement.
  3. Disconnect the coolant heater cord electrical connector.
  4. Remove the coolant heater cord clip from the engine harness channel.
  5. Remove the coolant heater cord clip from the power steering gear outlet hose.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Remove the coolant heater cord bolt from the frame.
  8. Remove the coolant heater cord from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1699547  Size: SH
  1. Install the coolant heater cord to the vehicle.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Position the coolant heater cord clip to the frame and install the coolant heater cord bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  5. Raise the vehicle.
  6. Install the coolant heater cord clip to the power steering gear outlet hose.
  7. Install the coolant heater cord clip to the engine harness channel.
  8. Connect the coolant heater cord electrical connector.
  9. Position and install the oil pan skid plate. Refer to Oil Pan Skid Plate Replacement.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
