Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
  2. Remove the oil pan skid plate. Refer to Oil Pan Skid Plate Replacement.
  3. Remove the front drive axle. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.

Front Drive Axle Mounting Bolt

Tip

    • The bushings for the mounting bracket is not serviced separately. They are serviced with the mounting bracket.
    • DO NOT completely tighten the bolts from the mounting bracket to the frame. Leave the bolts loose to allow the bracket alignment to the intermediate shaft housing.

Mounting Bracket to the Front Drive Axle Bolt (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
155 N·m (114 lb ft)
