Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the pick up box side upper molding. Refer to Pickup Box Side Upper Molding Replacement.

Tip
Remove the pick up box side liner retainers in order to flex the upper portion outward away from the pick up box. This allows the side rail and anchors to slide outward from the pick up box.

Cargo Carrier Pick Up Box Side Rail Bolt (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

Cargo Carrier Pick Up Box Rear Rail Adjuster (Qty: 3)

Procedure

1. Loosely install the butterfly retainers and bolts to the side rails.
2. Slide the side rails into position behind the pick up box side liner.
3. Engage the butterfly retainers into the hole.
4. Secure the mounting bolts.
5. Secure the plastic retainers in the pick up box side liner.
