Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the turn signal switch bracket. Refer to Turn Signal Switch Bracket Replacement.
2. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement.

Ignition Lock Cylinder Case Bolt

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Use a hammer and chisel to bite into the shear bolt at a position offset from center and tap the chisel to rotate the bolt in order to remove it.
2. Torque the ignition lock cylinder case bolt until the head shears off.

Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
