Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the luggage carrier side rail from the luggage carrier side rail support outer molding. Refer to Luggage Carrier Side Rail Replacement.
2. Open both doors on the side the luggage carrier molding will be replaced.
3. Remove the windshield side reveal molding. Refer to Windshield Side Reveal Molding Replacement

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
4 N·m (35 lb in)

Luggage Carrier Side Rail Support Outer Molding

Tip
Pull the molding forward from under the forward edge of the quarter panel upper applique.

Foam Support Block

Tip
Ensure the foam block is in position on the side rail support outer molding.
