Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement.
2. It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those steps in headliner replacement that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
3. Remove the sunroof motor/actuator. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement.
4. Remove the sunshade. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Assembly Replacement.

Sunroof Drain Hose (Qty: 4)

Procedure

Unplug the drain hoses from each side of the drain weeper valve.

Sunroof Module Nut (Qty: 10)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
There are 3 nuts down each side and 4 across the front.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Sunroof Module

Procedure

Transfer all necessary component to the new sunroof assembly.

Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement.
2. Remove the front and rear seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucketand Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.
3. Remove the right rear door check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement.
4. It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those steps in headliner replacement that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
5. Remove the sunroof motor/actuator. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement.

Sunroof Housing Drain Hose (Qty: 4)

Procedure

Unplug the drain hoses from each side of the drain weeper valve.

Sunroof Frame Fastener (Qty: 10)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

Tip
There are 3 nuts down each side and 4 across the front.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Sunroof Frame

Procedure

1. Remove the sunshade from the frame. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Assembly Replacement.
2. Transfer all necessary component to the new sunroof assembly.
