Preliminary Procedures

1. Evacuate the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the grille assembly. Refer to Grille Replacement.
3. Remove the left front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.

Preliminary Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
4. Remove retainers from fan shroud.

Procedure

Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement.

Tip
Use long extension to access nut through grille.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)
