Seat Belt Replacement - Center Rear H3

Rear Seat Back Cushion Panel

Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Trim Panel Replacement.

Rear Seat Center Shoulder Belt Nut

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Move the rear seat cushion forward into the stowed position to gain access to the nut.

Tighten
52 N·m (38 lb ft)

Rear Seat Center Shoulder Belt Retractor Bolt

Tighten
52 N·m (38 lb ft)

Rear Seat Center Shoulder Belt Assembly

Tip

  1. Use a flat-bladed screwdriver to separate the bottom of the seat belt from the anchor plate.
  2. Loosen the top of the rear seat back cushion and cover enough to gain access to the retractor.
  3. Feed the seat belt guide and belt through the opening in the seat back cushion and cover to remove.

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 2143339  Size: MH
  1. Remove the rear end trim panel. Refer to Rear End Trim Finish Panel Replacement.
  2. Remove the bolt that retains the rear center seat belt assembly to the floor panel.
  3. Remove the rear center seat belt assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2143339  Size: MH
  1. Position the rear center seat belt assembly on the floor panel.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the bolt which retains the rear center seat belt assembly to the floor and tighten the bolt to 52.5 N·m (39 lb ft).
  4. Route the rear center seat belt webbing up through the guide loop. Ensure that the seat belt webbing is not twisted.
  5. Install the rear end trim finish panel. Refer to Rear End Trim Finish Panel Replacement.
