Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2042541 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Disconnect the EGR valve electrical connector.
  3. Remove the nuts and the EGR valve (1)

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2042541 Size: SH
  1. Clean the mating surface.
  2. Install a new EGR valve gasket.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the EGR valve (1) with the retaining nuts and tighten to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
  4. Connect the EGR valve electrical connector.
  5. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
