The brake pedal switch provides a high side discrete input to the instrument panel cluster (IPC).
Battery voltage must be between 9-16 volts.
• | The brake pedal switch input to the IPC does not become active when vehicle conditions indicate it should be. |
• | The brake pedal switch input to the IPC is active when vehicle conditions indicate it should not be. |
The current DTC clears when the fault is no longer present.

⇒ | If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal and the ignition circuit fuse is open, test the signal circuit terminal 1 for a short to ground. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the signal circuit terminal 1 for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the IPC. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the IPC. |
