- The transmission control module (TCM) must be programmed with the correct software/calibration. Ensure that the following conditions exist before starting the TCM programming procedure:
| • | The battery is fully charged. |
| • | The TECH 2 cable connection at the data link connector (DLC) is secure. |
| • | The ignition switch is in the ON position. |
- Program the TCM using the latest software for the vehicle. Refer to the current release of TIS for the latest software and 0C Tech 2 for user instructions.
- If the TCM fails to program, proceed as follows:
| 3.1. | Ensure that the TCM connection is OK. |
| 3.2. | Check that TECH 2 is programmed with the latest software version. |
| 3.3. | Attempt to re-program the TCM. If the TCM still cannot be programmed properly, replace the TCM. |
