For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. The transmission control module (TCM) must be programmed with the correct software/calibration. Ensure that the following conditions exist before starting the TCM programming procedure:
  2. • The battery is fully charged.
    • The TECH 2 cable connection at the data link connector (DLC) is secure.
    • The ignition switch is in the ON position.
  3. Program the TCM using the latest software for the vehicle. Refer to the current release of TIS for the latest software and 0C Tech 2 for user instructions.
  4. If the TCM fails to program, proceed as follows:
  5. 3.1. Ensure that the TCM connection is OK.
    3.2. Check that TECH 2 is programmed with the latest software version.
    3.3. Attempt to re-program the TCM. If the TCM still cannot be programmed properly, replace the TCM.
