DTC Descriptor
DTC C0131 00: ABS/TCS Pressure Circuit.DTC C0550: Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Performance.
DTC C0551 45: Option Configuration Error/Variant not programmed.
DTC C0551 47: Option Configuration Error/VIN not programmed.
Circuit/System Description
The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) detects an internal malfunction.
Conditions for Running the DTC
The ignition is ON.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
DTC C0131 00: EBCM detects a fault in the hydraulic modulator pressure sensor signal voltage output.DTC C0550: The electronic brake control module (EBCM) detects an internal malfunction.
DTC C0551 45: The incorrect EBCM is installed on the vehicle.
DTC C0551 47: The incorrect software or calibrations have been flash programmed into the EBCM.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
| • | The EBCM disables the ABS-TCS/ESP for the duration of the ignition cycle. |
| • | One or all of the following warning indicators may activate: |
| - | ABS-TCS warning indicator |
| - | ABS-TCS warning display |
| - | ESP warning indicator |
| - | Red Brake Warning indicator |
| - | Trac-off warning display |
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
The EBCM automatically clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles.

Circuit/System Verification
- Verify that DTC C0551 is not set.
- If DTC C0550 or C0131 are set, Replace the EBCM.
