Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820433 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  3. Remove the charge air system hoses and ducts. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe and Outlet Pipe Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1822511 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the EGR solenoid connector and inlet/outlet vacuum hoses from EGR solenoid.
  5. Disconnect the PCV hose from the turbocharger inlet elbow.
  6. Remove the PCV valve bolts from PCV valve adapter.
  7. Remove the PCV valve.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1822511 Size: SH
  1. Install the PCV valve.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the PCV valve bolts to 11 N·m (97.4 lb in).

  2. Connect the PCV hose from the turbocharger inlet elbow.
  3. Connect the EGR solenoid connector and inlet/outlet vacuum hoses from EGR solenoid.

  4. Install the charge air system hoses and ducts. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe and Outlet Pipe Replacement .
  5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
