Liftgate Outside Handle Replacement C100/Long Body

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1758251 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the liftgate lower trim. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. Remove the nuts and the liftgate outside handle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1758252 Size: SH
  1. Install the liftgate outside handle with the nuts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the liftgate outside handle nut to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  2. Connect the electrical connector.
  3. Remove the liftgate lower trim. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

Liftgate Outside Handle Replacement C105/Short Body

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1829912 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the liftgate lower trim. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. Remove the nuts and the liftgate outside handle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the liftgate outside handle with the nuts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the liftgate outside handle nut to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  2. Connect the electrical connector.
  3. Install the liftgate lower trim. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
