Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1758472 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Open the liftgate.
  3. Disconnect the rear window defogger electrical connector.

    4. Object Number: 1758475 Size: SH
  4. Remove the liftgate upper garnish molding. Refer to Liftgate Garnish Molding Replacement .
  5. Remove the liftgate window strut. Refer to Liftgate Window Replacement .
  6. With the aid of an assistant, remove the bolts and liftgate glass from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1758477 Size: SH
  1. Install the liftgate glass with the bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the liftgate glass bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  2. Install the liftgate window strut. Refer to Liftgate Window Replacement .
  3. Install the liftgate window upper garnish molding. Refer to Liftgate Garnish Molding Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1758472 Size: SH
  4. Connect the rear window defogger electrical connector.
  5. Close the liftgate.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
