Perform an initial inspection of the power steering system.

Is the system operational?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic Starting Point - Power Steering System

1. Install a scan tool.
2. Turn ON the ignition.
3. Check the DTC code by using scan tool.

Does the scan tool display any DTCs?

Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle

Go to Step 3

Check for a poor connection at the ABS control module.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

Go to Step 4

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Disconnect the connector of control module wiring.
3. Disconnect the connector of ABS control module.
4. Check the resistance between the terminal 6 of SSPS wiring connector and the terminal 3 of ABS wiring connector.

Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

0 ohms

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace of repair the damaged wiring.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Replace the SSPS control module.

Is the replacement complete?

--

System OK
