🢒 Battery Tray Replacement
Removal Procedure
Remove the battery from the battery tray. Refer to
Battery Replacement
.
Remove the engine control module (ECM). Refer to
Engine Control Module Replacement
for the 2.0L diesel engine or
Engine Control Module Replacement
for the 2.4L engine or
Engine Control Module Replacement
for the 3.2L engine.
Remove the engine fuse block upper cover.
Remove the engine fuse block retaining bolts.
Remove the engine fuse box from the lower cover.
Remove the engine fuse block lower cover retaining nuts.
Remove the power steering oil pump to ease to remove the engine fuse box, if necessary.
Separate the engine fuse block from the welded bolts on the battery tray and the body frame.
Check the battery tray for obvious cracks or damage.
Remove the battery tray retaining bolts.
Remove the battery tray.
Installation Procedure
Install the battery tray.
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the battery tray retaining bolts and tighten to
10 N·m (89 lb in)
.
Install the engine fuse block and tighten the engine fuse block lower cover retaining nuts to
10 N·m (89 lb in)
.
Install the engine fuse block retaining bolts and tighten to
3 N·m (27 lb in)
.
Install the engine fuse block upper cover.
Install the engine control module (ECM). Refer to
Engine Control Module Replacement
for the 2.0L diesel engine or
Engine Control Module Replacement
for the 2.4L engine or
Engine Control Module Replacement
for the 3.2L engine.
Install the battery. Refer to
Battery Replacement
.
