For 1990-2009 cars only
- Clean the valley cover in a commercially available cleaning fluid and blow dry using compressed air.
- Clean the gasket surface with a plastic scraper or similar.
- Inspect the valley cover sealing surfaces for excessive scratches or other damage.
- Ensure the fixed internal flow-restricting orifice is clean and free from foreign obstructions.
Important: Do not use a metal scraper to remove gaskets as damage to aluminium components can occur resulting in oil leaks.
