Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Sensing and Diagnostic Module Handling Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1814595 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the trim from the center pillar.
  3. Remove the side impact sensor (SIS) mounting bolt.
  4. Disconnect the SIS connector.
  5. Remove the SIS.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1814595 Size: SH
  1. Install the SIS.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the SIS mounting bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the SIS mounting bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the SIS connector.
  4. Install the trim on the center pillar.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
