Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1864067 Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine undercover shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement.
  4. Remove the oil strainer. Refer to Oil Pump Suction Pipe and Screen Assembly Replacement.

    5. Object Number: 1822584 Size: SH
  5. Remove the crankshaft balancer.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1822584 Size: SH
  1. Install the crankshaft balancer and tighten the bolts to 55 N·m (46 lb ft).

    2. Object Number: 1822585 Size: SH

    Note: Do not disassemble the crankshaft balancer. Otherwise, the engine and body may be able to vibrate.

  2. Turn the crankshaft and align the crankshaft balancer 3-point on the gears.

  3. Install the oil strainer. Refer to Oil Pump Suction Pipe and Screen Assembly Replacement.
  4. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement.
  5. Fill with engine oil.
  6. Install the engine undercover shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
