Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1256821 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the door seal trim. Refer to Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement.
  3. Remove the screw and the guide rail.

    4. Object Number: 1256824 Size: SH
  4. Remove the door lock screws.
  5. Disconnect the lock rods.
  6. Remove the door lock.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1256824 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the rear door lock with the screws and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 1256821 Size: SH
  3. Install the lock rods.
  4. Install the guide rail with the bolts and the screw. Tighten the screw to 4 N·m (35 lb in) and the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  5. Install the door seal trim. Refer to Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
