    • EN-48300 Tensioner Remover/Installer
    • EN-48952 Tensioner Spring Holding Pin

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1863844  Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
  3. Remove the right front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  4. Remove the engine front shield at the position of right front wheel.

  5. Object Number: 1822514  Size: SH
  6. Install the EN-48253 onto the tensioner lever guide and rotate the tensioner at clockwise.
  7. Rotate the tensioner fully and simultaneously insert EN-48952 to the tensioner pin hole.

  8. Object Number: 1821742  Size: SH
  9. Remove the accessory belt.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1822522  Size: SH
  1. Install the accessory belt.

  2. Object Number: 1822525  Size: SH
  3. Install the EN-48253 to the tension lever guide and rotate the tensioner counterclockwise.
  4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

    Note: The tensioner dowel pin (1) is inserted into the tensioner dowel pin hole (2).

  5. Install the tensioner using EN-48300 . Tighten the tensioner retaining bolt to 48 N·m (35.4 lb ft)
  6. Remove EN-48952 using EN-48253 .
  7. Install the right front engine shield.
  8. Install the right front tire.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
