    • EN-48300 Tensioner Remover/Installer

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1822516  Size: SH
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  2. Remove the tensioner using by EN-48300 .

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1822519  Size: SH

    Note: Use care not to drop or over-rotate the tensioner with tools.

    Note: When the tensioner is properly installed by hand, the tensioner dowel pin (1) is not aligned with the tensioner dowel pin hole (2).

  1. Install the tensioner bolt by hand.
  2. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.

  3. Object Number: 1822525  Size: SH
  4. Install the EN-48253 to the tension lever guide and rotate the tensioner counterclockwise.
  5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

    Note: The tensioner dowel pin (1) is inserted into the tensioner dowel pin hole (2).

  6. Install the tensioner using EN-48300 . Tighten the tensioner retaining bolt to 48 N·m (35.4 lb ft).
  7. Remove EN-48952 using EN-48253 .
