    Danger: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  3. Inspect the brake pads for wear.

    4. Object Number: 1255704 Size: SH
  4. Measure the thickness.

    5. Specification

        • The minimum thickness of the inner or the outer front brake pad is 2 mm (0.08 inch).
        • The minimum thickness of the inner or the outer rear brake pad is 2 mm (0.08 inch).
  5. Install the brake pads in axle sets only.
  6. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
