This DTC is used to identify the condition of communicate area network (CAN) between electronic brake control module (EBCM) and engine control module (ECM) or transaxle control module (TCM).
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTCs:
• | DTC C1605 CAN Bus Error |
• | DTC C1611 CAN Bus Error |
• | DTC C1612 CAN Bus Error |
• | DTC C1616 CAN Bus OFF Failure |
Ignition is in the ON position.
• | Wiring harness (or connector) between EBCM and ECM (or TCM) is shorted or opened. |
• | ECM (or TCM) or EBCM internal fault. |
• | DTC C1605, C1611, C1612, C1616 is (are) stored. |
• | TCS disabled, TCS warning lamp turns on. |
If the conditions that the DTC C1605, C1611, C1612, C1616 is (are) no longer present, then the DTC (s) can be cleared by scan tool.
