Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 1954137 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the backup lamp switch electrical connector.
  3. Using a suitable tool, remove the backup lamp switch (2) and washer (1) from the case. Discard the washer.

    4. Discard the washer.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1954137 Size: SH
  1. Install a NEW washer (1) to the backup lamp switch.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the backup lamp switch (2) to the transmission.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the switch to 44 N·m (32 lb ft).

  3. Connect the backup lamp switch electrical connector.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
