Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1949900 Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector (1) from the KS (2).

    3. Object Number: 1949901 Size: SH
  3. Remove the KS to engine block retaining bolt (1) from the KS sensor.
  4. Remove the KS (2) from the engine.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1949901 Size: SH
  1. Install the KS (2) to the engine.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the KS to engine block retaining bolt (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the KS bolt (1)to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  3. Install the KS electrical connector (1) to the K sensor (2).
  4. Lower the vehicle.
