DTC B1021: SIM MismatchDiagnostic Fault Information
Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information, prior to using this diagnostic procedure.
Circuit/System Description
The telematics module is programmed to match a SIM card. SIM cards have each been assigned a unique SIM card number. If the SIM card number programmed into the telematics module does not match the SIM card or if the SIM card has been swapped from another telematics module, the telematics module will set a DTC.
Conditions for Running the DTC
The SIM card number programmed into the telematics module does not match the SIM card.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
This code shall set as current when the SIM card number programmed into the telematics module does not match the SIM card.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
| • | The telematics module sets a DTC. |
| • | The telematics module commands the red LED ON. |
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
| • | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present. |
| • | The history DTC will clear after 50 fault-free ignition cycles. |
| • | The DTC can be cleared using a scan tool. |

Circuit/System Testing
- Verify that the SIM card present is correct for the original unit and has not been swapped from another telematics module.
- Ignition ON, use the scan tool to request DTCs. Verify that DTC B1021 is set as current.

| ⇒ | If DTC B1021 is current replace the telematics module. |
