Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information, prior to using this diagnostic procedure.
The telematics module is programmed to match a SIM card. SIM cards have each been assigned a unique SIM card number. If the SIM card number programmed into the telematics module does not match the SIM card or if the SIM card has been swapped from another telematics module, the telematics module will set a DTC.
The SIM card number programmed into the telematics module does not match the SIM card.
This code shall set as current when the SIM card number programmed into the telematics module does not match the SIM card.
• | The telematics module sets a DTC. |
• | The telematics module commands the red LED ON. |
• | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present. |
• | The history DTC will clear after 50 fault-free ignition cycles. |
• | The DTC can be cleared using a scan tool. |

⇒ | If DTC B1021 is current replace the telematics module. |
