When the telematics module receives Over-The-Air messages, it will compare the information received to the data stored in memory. If the VIN stored in memory does not match the VIN received via Over-The-Air messages, the telematics module will set a DTC and commands the red LED on the electrochromatic mirror ON.
The system voltage is at least 9 volts and no more than 16 volts.
• | The telematics module stored VIN digits does not match the digits stored in the BCM. |
• | The VIN stored in memory does not match the VIN received via an Over-The-Air message. |
The telematics module stored VIN digits are not programmed.
• | The telematics module sets a DTC. |
• | The telematics module commands the red LED ON. |
• | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present. |
• | The history DTC will clear after 50 fault-free ignition cycles. |

1. Verify that either DTC B1015 or DTC B1016 are not set.
