Symptoms - Object Detection LWB SWBRHD

Important: Review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to Object Detection Description and Operation.

Visual/Physical Inspection

    • Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the system. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories
    • Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.
    • Make sure the front object alarm sensors located on the vehicles front bumper are clear. Remove any snow, mud or ice that is blocking the sensors.
    • Make sure the rear object alarm sensors located on the vehicles rear bumper are cleared of obstruction. Remove any contaminates that are blocking the sensors.
    • If the vehicle is fitted with a trailer hitch, enter the customisation menu in the infotainment unit and select Tow Bar Att . Select Yes if a tow ball tongue/neck is attached or No if a tow ball tongue/neck is removed.
    • Drive the vehicle for longer than 20 seconds and at a speed greater than 17 km/h.

Intermittent

Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections.

    •  Rear Parking Assist Malfunction
    •  Rear Park Assist Sensors Faulty or Inoperative
