Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement LHD
Removal Procedure
Important: Make sure that the wiper arms (2) DO NOT
interfere with the hood (3) while being moved away from the windshield (1).
- Lift the wiper arms (2) away from the windshield (1) to the upright position.
Important: Make sure that the wiper arms (1) remain
at rest and DO NOT spring back onto the windscreen.
- Press in the wiper arm blade side clip (2) and unclip the wiper arm blade (3).
- Remove the wiper arm blade (3) from the wiper arm (1).
Installation Procedure
- Clip the wiper arm blade connector (1) onto
the wiper arm (2). Listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.
- Move the wiper arms (1) back to the parked
position.
- Test the windshield wipers and washers for correct operation.

Removal Procedure
Important: Make sure that the wiper arms do not interfere
with the bonnet while being moved away from the windshield otherwise damage to the
bonnet may occur.
- Open the Bonnet
- Remove the wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut covers (2).
- Remove the wiper arm to air inlet grille washer hose connectors (3).
- Remove the wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nuts (1).
Important: Make sure that the wiper arms do not interfere
with the bonnet while being moved away from the windshield otherwise damage to the
bonnet may occur.
- Close the Bonnet
- Lift the wiper arms (1) away from the windshield to the upright
position.
- Remove the LHS wiper arm (4) from the wiper pivot stud.
Important: Make sure that the RHS wiper arm does not
interfere with the bonnet otherwise damage to the bonnet may occur.
Important: The RHS wiper should be in the vertical position
and away from the windshield as shown.
- Pull the right hand side wiper arm (1) away from the spline
- Rotate the RHS wiper arm (1) so the bonnet can be opened without
hitting the wiper.
- Open the bonnet.
- Manoeuvre the RHS wiper arm (1) off the wiper pivot stud and off
the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Important: Make sure that the RHS wiper arm does not
interfere with the bonnet otherwise damage to the bonnet may occur.
Important: The RHS wiper should be in the vertical position
and away from the windshield as shown.
- Install the RHS wiper arm (1) onto the wiper pivot stud.
- Install the wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut (2).
Do not fully tighten at this stage.
- Close the bonnet
Important: Make sure that the wiper arms do not interfere
with the bonnet while being moved away from the windshield otherwise damage to the
bonnet may occur.
- Install the LHS wiper arm (1) to the wiper pivot stud.
- Install the LHS wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut (2).
Do not fully tighten at this stage.
- Lower the wiper arms (1) toward the windshield to the lowered position.
Important: When installing the wiper arm, ensure the
installation measurements are adhered to otherwise fouling of the inlet panel may
occur.
- Align the wiper arm blades to the inlet panel using the following measurements
:
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Tighten the LHS wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
- Open the bonnet.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Tighten the RHS wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
- Install the wiper arm to pivot stud retaining nut covers.
- Connect the wiper arm (3) to the air inlet grille washer hose connectors (4).
- Close the bonnet.
- Check the windshield wipers for correct operation.
