Circuit/System Verification
Park brake OFF, transmission in REVERSE, the park assist switch light should turn on.
Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the park assist switch.
- Test for less than 5 Ω between the low reference circuit terminal 8 and ground.
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the object alarm module. |
- Ignition ON, transmission in REVERSE, test for 1.7 - 3.3 V between the voltage reference circuit terminal 7 and ground.
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the voltage reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the body control module. |
⇒ | If less than the specified range, test the voltage reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the body control module. |
- If the circuit tests normal, replace the park assist switch.
