Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Tire Pressure Monitoring prior to using this diagnostic procedure.
The remote function actuator (RFA) receives a radio frequency (RF) transmission from each tire pressure sensor. Each sensors RF transmission contains its own unique identification (ID) code that must be learned into the RFA memory. Once all four IDs have been learned and vehicle speed is 40 kph (25 mph) or greater the RFA continuously compares IDs in received transmission to its learned IDs to determine if all four sensors are present.
The ignition is ON.
The RFA has not undergone the tire type and tire pressure selection setup procedure.
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the SERVICE TIRE MONITOR warning message.
A current DTC will clear when the RFA has undergone the setup procedure.
A newly replaced RFA will set DTC C0569 on its initial ignition ON cycle. tire type and tire pressure selection setup must be performed. Refer to Tire Pressure Indicator Sensor Programming .
