Important: If the RSE interface module vehicle identification number (VIN) does not match the VIN transmitted by the body control module (BCM) the system will enter theft mode and will be locked. After the installation of a new RSE interface module, the RSE interface module will auto-learn the VIN that is transmitted by the BCM.
If the RSE interface module is replaced, the following procedures must be performed:
Important: Performing the Link RSE Components procedure is prohibited without TIS approval. Refer to Obtaining TIS Approval for more information.
Important: If the Link RSE Components procedure is not performed the RSE system will not function correctly. If either the RSE interface module or any of the RSE system components are independently replaced it will be necessary to perform the "Link RSE Components" procedure. If all RSE components are replaced together they will auto-link.
Important: Performing the program region code procedure is prohibited without TIS approval. Refer to Obtaining TIS Approval for more information.
Important: The region code can only be set ONCE. Once the region code has been set it cannot be reprogrammed again.
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the proceeding procedures.
