When the ignition is turned ON, the radio performs a self test to verify if any critical malfunction exists within the system. Once the power-up is completed, the radio establishes communications with the body control module (BCM). During the power-up mode the radio checks for a valid calibration data set. If no valid calibration set is found the radio disables the system.
• | Ignition is in ON or ACCY |
• | The system voltage is at least 9.5 volts and no more than 15.5 volts. |
• | All the above conditions are present for greater than 10 seconds. |
The calibration data set is not programmed in the radio.
Radio functions are disabled
• | A current DTC clears when the conditions for setting the DTC are no longer present. |
• | A history DTC clears after 50 malfunction-free ignition cycles. |

Verify that DTC B101E is not set.
